RECORDING HEAD AND INK JET RECORDER

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To increase the opening area of a filter without increasing the lateral width of a recording head and to reduce bubbles remaining in a passage for supplying ink from an ink cartridge to the ink supply channel of the recording head. SOLUTION: Joint of a first ink chamber 27 communicating with an ink cartridge 2 and a second ink chamber 29 communicating with a common liquid chamber 18 is made rectangular and the first ink chamber 27 and the second ink chamber 29 are jointed through a rectangular filter 26 thus increasing the area of the filter 26 without increasing the lateral width of the recording head 3. Since fluid resistance of the filter 26 is decreased, ink can be supplied to the common liquid chamber 18 at a high flow rate sufficient for recording.
