Zusammenfassung:	PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To enhance dust collection efficiency while miniaturizing an electric precipitator to a large extent. SOLUTION: In the electric precipitator equipped with a dust collection part having a plurality of discharge electrodes becoming cathodes and a plurality of dust collection electrodes becoming anodes, the dust collection surfaces of the dust collection electrodes are arranged toward an air stream direction going to the air outflow port of the dust collection part from the air inflow port thereof and the discharge electrodes are arranged in opposed relation to the dust collection electrodes to make the direction of an ion wind generated by the voltage across the discharge electrodes and the dust collection electrodes almost same to the air stream direction.
