Zusammenfassung:	PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an expansive catheter and a catheter having a base part shaft composed of a metallic pipe, having no possibility of bending (a kink), and superior in kink resistance. SOLUTION: This expansive catheter 1 has the tubular base part shaft 15 having relatively high rigidity, a tubular tip shaft 13 having rigidity lower than the base part shaft, a tubular intermediate part 14 positioned between these shafts, a hub 16 installed in the vicinity of the base end of the base part shaft, a balloon 12 installed so as to fluidly communicate with a tip part of the tip shaft, and an inner tube shaft 11 for inserting a guide wire 2, and has a reinforcing body 155 arranged in a base end part of the base part shaft 15, and installed on the base part shaft 15 or the hub 16.
