Zusammenfassung:PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a solid electrolytic capacitor which comprises a foil-like valve metal base having a roughed surface with an insulative oxide film formed thereon, has an insulative oxide film, a solid polymer electrolyte layer, and conductor layers formed one above another on the metal base and is suited to be contained in a circuit board. SOLUTION: The solid electrolytic capacitor comprises a foil-like valve metal base 2 having a roughed surface with an insulative oxide film formed thereon. The capacitor has at least an insulative oxide film 9, a solid polymer electrolyte layer 11 and conductor layers 12, 13 formed one above another on the metal base 2. A foil-like conductive metal base 3 has a near-one-end portion bonded to a near-one-end portion of the metal base 2 having the roughed surface with the insulative oxide film formed thereon to form a bond zone 4 in the form of a metal-to-metal electric connection. The capacitor has an anode electrode 1 constituted such that a near-one-end portion of a foil-like valve metal base 3 having a non-roughed surface is bonded to a near-one-end portion of the metal base 2 in the form of a metal-to-metal electric connection, and a near- one-end portion of a foil-like conductive metal base 4 having a non-roughed surface is bonded to a near-other-end portion of the metal base 2 in the form of a metal-to- metal electric connection.
