Zusammenfassung:PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method for removing a deposited polymer, capable of completely removing the polymer deposited on the inner wall of a reactor used for a reaction in which a Diels-Alder adduct of a conjugated olefin and acrylonitrile is produced by reacting the conjugated olefin with the acrylonitrile, without marring the inner wall surface of the reactor, and capable of being industrially adapted enough. SOLUTION: This method for removing the deposited polymer comprises heating and washing the polymer deposited on the inner wall of the reactor used for the reaction by using a solution of an organic compound in which an alkali metal compound is dissolved.
