SEALING MEMBER STRUCTURE FOR HIGH-INTENSITY DISCHARGE LAMP

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a sealing member structure for a high-intensity discharge lamp, a blocking body of which is superior in dimensional accuracy, and to which external terminals are attached easily. SOLUTION: The outer surface as a metal part of the blocking body made of a functionally gradient material is covered by a clip-like external terminal 8, made of molybdenum or tungsten. The clip-like external terminal 8 is composed of an annular member 8a and a connection piece 8b, which protrudes from and integrated with the annular member 8a, and a slit makes the annular member 8a is discontinuous. Furthermore, a feed wire 9 is connected to the connection piece 8b through spot welding.
