Zusammenfassung: | PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a digital multimeter whose erroneous operation can be prevented surely while the restriction of a design is reduced. SOLUTION: An instrument body 12 as the digital multimeter 11 is provided with a function changeover means 16, and input terminals 13 freely connected to respective test leads at the instrument body 12. Further, the body 12 is provided with test-lead detection means 19 which detect whether or not the test leads are connected to the respective input terminals 13 and an output means 20 which detects the result of their detection. The means 19 are preferably formed in such a way that they freely detect whether or not the test leads are connected to the respective input means 13 in a relationship to the discrimination result of a function discrimination means 15a which discriminates which selection input of a function is at a high input impedance or a low input impedance, and that they freely output a warning of an erroneous connection when the relationship is not a prescribed combination between the selection input of the function via the output means 20 and the connection state of the test leads. |
