Zusammenfassung:	PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To firmly fix against rotation of a select lever and to eliminate a need to newly provide an exclusive supporting member for a car body when fixing a base bracket of a select device. SOLUTION: In the select device for an automatic transmission provided with the select lever for manipulating a shift of a transmission and arranged on an instrument panel in the neighborhood of a steering wheel, the select device is provided with a base bracket for supporting the select lever in capable of rotation, the base bracket is provided with a first mounting part and a second mounting part respectively fixed to the instrument panel and a supporting member arranged in the car width direction in the instrument panel for supporting and fixing a steering shaft, the first mounting part and the second mounting part are provided on the rear and the front in the vehicle direction of the base bracket, and a rotation face of the select lever is formed in the front and rear direction of the vehicle.
