Zusammenfassung:	PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a digital broadcast receiver capable of reducing the occurrence of an event that a user had to pay a purchase charge regardless of being unable to view a purchased pay program due to bad weather or a power failure or the like. SOLUTION: When a channel is matched with a pay per view(PPV) program, a user can view part of the program at no cost for a preview period. When the user makes a purchase operation to purchase the program, the digital broadcast receiver 3 does not immediately conduct purchase processing but awaits the preview period comes near its end, and applies purchase processing to an IC card 21A when the reception state is within a permissible range. On the other hand, when the reception state is not within the permissible range, the digital broadcast receiver 30 does not conduct the purchase processing.
