Zusammenfassung:	PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To solve such a problem that much labor is required for efficiently classifying and preserving images and for disclosing images while efficiently classifying them so that a person to refer to the images can retrieve the desired image through a simple operation when disclosing the images through a network since information linked with a database for classifying and preserving images is not acquired in the case of image storage. SOLUTION: Information for identifying an image linked with the database is stored while being related to the image in the case of image storage and a means is provided for generating the database by using such information. The relevant information is utilized as hierarchical information of the database and with this information as a keyword, retrieval can be executed.
