METHOD OF MANUFACTURING EXHAUST MUFFLER AND EXHAUST MUFFLER

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an exhaust muffler using sound absorbing material such as glass wool capable of exhibiting sound absorbing performance, reducing a cost, saving manufacturing process time, reducing the possibility of defective welding, and eliminating the scattering of glass wool, and a method of manufacturing the exhaust muffler. SOLUTION: Both end parts 13A and 13B of a glass wool sound absorbing sheet 13 are cut aslant in the same direction, an adhesive B is applied to the both end parts of the sound absorbing sheet, and the sound absorbing sheet is wound on a porous inner tube 3. The both end parts are stuck to each other with the adhesive to form a tubular sound absorbing material 10. The tubular sound absorbing material 10 together with the porous inner tube 3 are inserted into an outer tube 1 to manufacture the exhaust muffler 100.
