Zusammenfassung:	PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To dispense with a peripheral device increasing a cost, complexity and an occupying space, in a medical diagnostic imaging system such as an ultrasonic system. SOLUTION: Each device function in a previously selected device function set for realizing a previously selected medical diagnostic apparatus is assigned to at least one function drive section on an image display. Contact of a touch screen is monitored (404), and the selected drive section is decided on the basis of the contact and the function drive section (406). Once the selected drive section is decided, the device function associated with the selected drive section is executed (410).
