PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To solve the problem that a utility efficiency of a heating chamber is reduced because a heater drum is horizontally conveyed in a conventional drying apparatus for a bean or the like which sequentially feeds the bean or the like to a heating dryer by generally horizontally disposing a heating drying drum formed in a cylindrical shape in the dryer, providing a shaft in a rotatable state at its center, forming a warm water chamber made of an outer cylinder and an inner cylinder at its outer periphery, circulating the warm water therethrough, providing supply blades at the inside of the inner cylinder to be fixed to the inner surface of the inner cylinder and further horizontally providing a partition plate in the longitudinal direction of the inner cylinder. SOLUTION: The drying apparatus for the beam or the like comprises a heating drum erected vertically, a pipe-like screw shaft rotatably arranged at a center of the drum, and a conveying screw fixed to its outer periphery in such a manner that their heating liquids are circulated.
