DEFLECTION YOKE AND PROJECTOR

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a projector that can reduce its power consumption so as to attain a configuration with a saved space at a low cost. SOLUTION: A saddle type deflection coil is adopted for a sub deflection yoke section for convergence correction so as to reduce the effect of magnetic flux from a main deflection yoke section thereby reducing the power consumption in a sub deflection circuit supplying a correction current to the deflection coils of the sub deflection yoke section. Since the reduced power consumption permits a small-sized heat dissipation mechanism or elimination thereof, the projector is configured at a low cost with a saved space.
