SOLUTION: The invention relates a method for producing a compound of formula 1 (R is defined in the specification), a pharmaceutically acceptable salt, and an intermediate useful for the production method. The compound of formula 1 is an antibacterial medicine capable of being used for the treatments of various bacterial infections and protozoal infections. The invention further relates to a medicinal composition containing the compound produced by the production method of the invention, and also to method for treating bacteria and protozoans by administering the compound.
