Zusammenfassung:	PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a bearing unit that improves moment rigidity by a spring seat also served as a sealing plate avoiding an interference with the back side of a retainer. SOLUTION: Two bearings 2, 2 are press-inserted to a shaft 1 and the spring seats 12, 12 receiving pre-load springs 20 are fixed to sides facing to the bearings 2, 2. A space is formed at the rear face 11a of the retainer on the outside face 13 of the spring seat 12, which becomes the interference relief 21 of the retainer. The labyrinths 8, 9 are formed between the inside diameter edge 16 of the spring seat and the shaft external diameter 1a and between the outside face 13 and the inner ring plane 7 of the spring seat 12, and these function also as the sealing plates.
