Zusammenfassung: | PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method for introducing, into at least one mammalian tissue in its host, at least one single-chain insulin analogue(SIA) protein to be used for treating diabetes of a mammal or a gene encoding the SIA, and to provide a recombinant vector including the SIA or the gene encoding the SIA. SOLUTION: A method for treating diabetes, more specifically autoimmune I-type diabetes and insulin-deficient II-type diabetes, comprises expressing an SIA in hepatocyte under the control of a hepatocyte-specific glucose regulatory promoter and, if necessary, an SV40 enhancer. |
