Zusammenfassung: | PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an explosion-proof band having a folded back part for cathode-ray tube, in which the welding condition is easily controlled by reducing the number of components and suppressing the increase in the manufacturing cost, and to provide its manufacturing method. SOLUTION: The explosion-proof band 11 comprises extension parts, made of a sheet of metal plate, that are respectively extended from the folding-back part 12A at one end 12P and the other end 12Q of the ring-shape metal frame body 12, which has a folding-back part 12A made in a double structure by folding back the metal thin plate, and the one end 12P and the other end 12Q are welded by being overlapped and made as an overlapping part. The extension part of the end 12P and the folding- back part 12A of the other end 12Q and the extension part of the other end 12Q and the folding-back part 12A of the one end 12P are at least overlapped. The cathode- ray tube 10 fits this explosion-proof band 11 on the outer periphery of a panel part 1 of the cathode-ray tube body 4. When the explosion-proof band 11 is manufactured, a punch part or a window part is punched out, before the folding part 12A is formed in the metal thin plate. |
