CONTACT-SWITCHING DEVICE

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To obtain a structure which can simply restrain an external light emission of arc gas generated when a contact switching device is switched, by adding parts or a work to the contact-switching device, which is not equipped with any exclusive arc-suppressing parts. SOLUTION: For the contact-switching device, comprising a movable contactor and a fixed contactor having contacts respectively, a movable support frame supporting the movable contactor, a housing supporting the movable support frame and fixing the fixed contactor, a cover of which the side surface is arranged so as to become vertical with respect to the fixed contactor, a terminal screw mounted to the fixed contactor, and an external wall surrounding the contactors formed by the combination of the housing and the cover, a metal plate having proper conductivity having a tongue-shaped piece formed, so as to cover the space between the fixed contactor and the cover, is arranged between the cover and the terminal screw.
