Zusammenfassung:PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an infrared communication device having an effect on an infrared light receiving/emitting module side incorporating no protection circuit. SOLUTION: This infrared communication device comprises a first data transfer path selecting circuit 105 selecting a connecting destination of a first port 107 from data output of an RS232C of an RS232C controller 103 and input of an infrared communication receiving circuit 104, and a second data transfer path selecting circuit 108 selecting a connecting destination of a second port 110 from data output of the RS232C of the RS232C controller 103 and input of the infrared communication receiving circuit 104.
