Zusammenfassung:PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a damping force variable damper device capable of efficiently achieving the damping effect on earthquakes from a small one to a large one by operating a plurality of oil dampers step by step, and capable of implementing the damping easily even in an urban region with insufficient area. SOLUTION: The damper device comprises a casing attached to either upper or lower structure forming quake releasing layers, a force transmitting movable body which moves relatively inside the casing and whose rod is attached to the other structure, and a plurality of oil dampers disposed on left and right sides of the movable body and fixed to the casing. A first oil damper is directly attached to the movable body, and a second and other oil dampers are disposed at such positions as to be operated step by step according to the size of the moving stroke of the movable body.
