SOLUTION: In the delayed-type insulin derivative, amino acid residues A21 and B3 are each independently a given amino acid residue encoded by a genetic code other than Lys, Arg and Cys, PheB may be absent, the amino acid residue B30 is absent or is a given amino acid residue encoded by a genetic code other than Lys, Arg and Cys, and the -amino group of LysB has a lipophilic substituent and does not form a Zn complex.
