Zusammenfassung:	PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a herbicidal composition for paddy fields capable of controlling weeds ranging from annual weeds to perennial weeds of the paddy fields over a wide range of period from the preemergence of weeds to a period of advanced growth of the weeds, e.g. the three-leaf stage of barnyard grass which is the annual weed of the paddy fields. SOLUTION: This herbicidal composition for the paddy fields comprises 2-chloro-N-(3-methoxy-2-thenyl)-2',6'-dimethylacetanilide mixed with [3-(2-chloro-4- methylsulfonylbenzoyl)-4-phenylthio]bicyclo[3.2.1]oct-3-en-2-one and 2-(2,4- dichloro-m-tolyloxy)propionanilide as active ingredients for use.
