Zusammenfassung: | PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To solve the problem of the conventional electric power steering device in which a sensor housing of a torque sensor and a jacket for supporting a steering shaft are formed as separate bodies so that the number of part items is large to be expensive, and the joint of the parts hardly heightens rigidity. SOLUTION: A steering column 4 of this electric power steering device 1 is provided with an integral molding 17 obtained by integrally forming a principal part 32 rotatably supporting a steering shaft 3 and fitted to a car body 8 and a sensor housing 33 for storing a torque sensor 15. The integral molding 17 may be integrated with a unit housing 34 of a steering assisting unit 16, a storing part 46 of a crime prevention lock device 70, a shock absorbing member 48, a fitting part 31 to the car body 8, a heat sink 78 of a circuit part 77, and a support member 47 of a lamp operating switch 75. The integral molding 17 can reduce the number of part items and the cost, and heighten the rigidity. |
