Zusammenfassung:	PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To prevent a malicious person from invalidating a generating means by contriving a method for mounting a means for generating fabrication prevention data. SOLUTION: Data to be attached for fabrication prevention are stored into a nonvolatile memory 513, and, at image formation, an attachment data generating part 511 reads the attachment data for fabrication prevention from the nonvolatile memory and generates a first digital signal string corresponding to the attachment data. The first digital signal string is subjected to an exclusive OR arithmetic operation with a second digital signal string corresponding to image data, and operation results are outputted to a laser driver IC 512. The laser driver IC drives a laser 403 on the basis of the operation results, and the laser forms a latent image for image formation. The removal (function invalidation) of the attachment data generating part 511 is prevented by arranging the attachment data generating part 511 and the laser driver IC 512 at least in the same unit.
