MICROOBSERVATION APPARATUS AND MICROOBSERVATION METHOD

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a microobservation apparatus and microobservation method capable of efficiently acquiring the microscopic image of a vital sample. SOLUTION: The microobservation apparatus for picking up the microscopic image of the vital sample housed in a microplate 7 controls table moving mechanism moving means for moving a sample table holding the microplate 7 in accordance with the relative position coordinates of the central coordinates (Xw and Yw) of plural wells 7a having the reference point R defined by the microplate 7 as their origin and the observation position 27 within the wells 7a having the central coordinates (Xw and Yw) as their origin, thereby locating the observation positions 27 of the plural wells 7a to the imaging position by a camera. As a result, the microscopic image in the vital sample can be efficiently acquired.
