STRUCTURE OF COIN HOPPER

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a coin hopper for preventing opening of a shutter member for opening or closing a discharge port disposed in a easing of the coin hopper except for the case of operating it in the opening direction, without degrading operability by extremely increasing a spring force for energizing the shutter member in the closing direction or complicating the constitution. SOLUTION: This coin hopper 1 has a shutter mechanism 23 disposed outside a casing for opening or closing the discharge port. The shutter mechanism comprises a fixed journaling member 30 having a first turning shaft, the shutter member 50 turnably journalled to the first turning shaft 31, and a lever 60 journalled turnably at its one end to a second turning shaft disposed in the fixed journaling member for energizing the shutter member lying at a position for closing the discharge port in the opening direction. When the lever lies at the closing position, the lever prevents the opening operation of the shutter member lying at the closing position.
