Zusammenfassung:PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a printer system with a forgery preventing tracing function that can recognize a printer used for printing when a particular original such as paper money is printed and especially achieve a sure forgery prevention tracing function. SOLUTION: On the occurrence of a broken signal line used for the forgery prevention tracing function or a fault in a circuit having the forgery prevention tracing function, a forgery preventing print pattern (GBP) outputted from a CPU 6 is not supplied to a GBP data detection circuit 10, a detection signal is outputted from an output Q of the GBP data detection circuit 10 so as to detect the occurrence of a fault in the printer with the forgery prevention tracing function. In this case, e.g. displaying a fault allows a user to recognize the fault so as to realize the printer with the sure forgery prevention tracing function.
