INTERNET FACSIMILE TERMINAL AND ITS CONTROL METHOD

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an Internet facsimile terminal and its control method, that can process a caller number generating processing taking into account the accommodating state of the Internet facsimile terminal into a public telephone network in response to dial information of a transfer destination facsimile terminal in the case of transferring electronic mail by a facsimile document. SOLUTION: The Internet facsimile terminal with an off ramp gateway function receives electronic mail via the Internet, decides whether the electronic mail indicates a domestic call or an international call based on dial information of the transfer destination facsimile terminal designated by destination information of the electronic mail, applies domestic dial number generating processing required for the domestic call to the dial information when the electronic mail indicates the domestic call, applies international dial number generating processing required for the domestic call to the dial information when the electronic mail indicates the international call, and conducts facsimile transfer by using the processed dial information.
