OPTICAL CONNECTOR AND SHIELD CASE

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an optical connector which has the improved electric and thermal connection between the wiring patterns of a shield case and a package board and is stably mounted on the board. SOLUTION: In a state where the optical connector is mounted and fixed onto the package board, a grounding piece 12 formed on a shielding case 10 is pressed on a wiring pattern for the ground formed on the package board by a fixing piece formed on the connector housing. Spring pieces 13 are formed by leaving parts of grounding piece 12, cutting the remaining parts in the shape of a narrow band, and bending the parts in an almost V-shape. In a state where the optical connector is mounted and fixed on the package board, the spring pieces 13 are interposed between the fixing piece and the package board in the state the spring pieces 13 are elastically deformed in a drawn shape.
