The temperature detector comprises a protecting tube and a temperature detecting body having a thermocouple deposited in the protecting tube. The temperature detecting body is connected to a plate- shaped heat receiving body through a connected part of metal wires constituting the thermocouple. The heat treatment method is a heat treatment method using the above-described heat treatment device, and is characterized in that the plate-shaped heat receiving body comprises the same material as that of the treating object.
