Zusammenfassung:	PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an efficient heat exchanger suppressing the occurrence of pressure loss due to the influence of the current-speed distribution of gas concerning the heat exchanger used for the EGR device of an engine or the like. SOLUTION: This heat exchanger has a structure having a tubular shell, inside which heat exchange is performed, headers provided at both ends of this shell respectively with the inlet with the diameter smaller than that of the shell formed at least in the inflow side of gas, end plates interposed between the shell and each header, a plurality of tubes with the ends penetrating the end plates provided between both of these end plates and elongated plate-shaped fins provided in the tubes, in such a state as to divide the tube into two with the tips in the inflow side of gas arranged along the radiating direction from the cross-sectional center of the shell.
