Zusammenfassung:PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To enable the operation of an internal combustion engine by surely opening the valve of an injector, even when a peak electric current is not supplied, in a fuel injection control device using the pressure assist-type injector which utilizes, for valve opening, the fuel pressure from a common rail. SOLUTION: This invention relates to a fuel injection control device for a diesel engine having common rail. In the case where the voltages VCp and VCm at both ends of the capacitors Cp and Cm are not more than a reference voltage Vcf at the completion of the charge thereof for feeding a peak current to the solenoid of a pressure assist-type injector (S120: 'NO'), it is determined that the peak current is unable to be fed to the solenoid, thus heightening a common rail pressure comparing with a normal time (S175), and at the same time, a larger hold current is fed to the solenoid, as compared with usual (S180). Thereby, even if the peak current does not flow, the valve of the injector can be opened surely.
