FIBER MATERIAL FOR PREVENTING SKIN ROUGHNESS

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a fiber material which is used for preventing skin roughness, contains a skin roughness-preventing additive exhibiting a protecting action effective to skin troubles, such as the skin roughness caused by surfactants, is effective for inhibiting transepidermal water loss causing the skin roughness thereby for holding the moisture content of the skin, and gives moisture to the skin to prevent the skin roughness. SOLUTION: This fiber material for preventing the skin roughness is characterized by fixing to fiber materials at least one skin roughness-preventing additive which inhibits transepidermal water loss(TEWL) and is selected from the group consisting of tannic acid, gallic acid and gallic acid derivatives represented by the general formulas (I), (II) and (III) [R , R and R are each H, a hydrocarbon or the like; G is galloyl; (p), (q) and (r) are each an integer of 1 to 4], ellagic acid and ellagic acid derivatives represented by the general formula (IV) (R , R , R and R are each H, a hydrocarbon or the like).
