PRINTER SYSTEM HAVING INNER DRUM PAPER FEED DEVICE AND METHOD OF PRINTING THEREFOR

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To reduce waste recording media such as a paper to which an image is recorded in a printing system. SOLUTION: This printer system comprises a drum (10) having a recording medium supplying roll (32) in its inner section, a print head (14) placed to print an image on a part of the recording medium supported on the drum (10), cutting means (42, 50) that cut the recording medium to separate the part of the recording medium having the received image from the part continuing the recording medium supplying roll (32), and a pick-up means (52) for picking up the part of the recording medium from the drum (10). The recording medium supply roll (32) includes feeding means (46, 48) for feeding the recording medium to the drum (10) so as to place the part of the recording medium on the drum (10) and the cutting means (42, 50) can be driven to cut the recording medium at a position where the recording medium is supported on the drum (10).
