Zusammenfassung: | PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To obtain an imaging apparatus in which a high print speed can be attained while carrying recording sheets sheet by sheet and the resolution of image can be altered. SOLUTION: Any one of first and second line head blocks 110 and 111 is moved to a first recording position A or any one of third and fourth line head blocks 112 and 113 is moved to a second recording position B at the time of recording. Each nozzle orifice has a different aperture in the first through fourth line head blocks 110-113. Quantity of ink being ejected per unit time is highest in the first line head block 110 having a nozzle orifice of largest aperture. Carrying speed of the recording sheet can thereby be increased by shortening the ink ejection time per dot. Furthermore, a high resolution image can be recorded by selecting a line head block having a nozzle orifice of small aperture. |
