Zusammenfassung:PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method for manufacturing a voltage nonlinear resistor superior in lightning surge enduring rate. SOLUTION: A voltage nonlinear resistor contains zinc oxide as a main component, 0.3 to 0.5 mol% bismuth oxide in terms of Bi2 O3 , 1.0 to 1.5 mol% cobalt oxide in terms of CoO, 0.3 to 0.7 mol% manganese oxide in terms of MnO2 , 1.0 to 1.6 mol% antimony oxide in terms of Sb2 O3 , 0.05 to 0.1 mol% silver oxide Ag2 O in terms of Ag2 O, 0.9 to 3.0 mol% silicon oxide in terms of SiO2 , 0.05 to 0.1 mol% boron oxide in terms of B2 O3 , and 0.005 to 0.01 mol% aluminum oxide in terms of Al2 O3 . Paste whose main component is silicon oxide is applied on the side of the voltage nonlinear resistor, and an insulating coating layer is formed integrally on the side of the resistor by baking.
