OPTICAL PICKUP SUPPORT STRUCTURE

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an optical pickup support structure which has a simple structure, can easily be manufactured, reduces an occupancy space on the base as much as possible to be advantageous for making an optical disk device thinner, has high rigidity, and can support the optical pickup to be movable with high accuracy. SOLUTION: The optical pickup support structure is provided with a plate- like sheet metal base 10, a main rail part 41 for guiding the optical pickup 30 to be moved along the pre-determined direction on the base 10, and sub-rail part 15 for guiding the optical pickup to be moved along the pre-determined direction on the base 10 in collaboration with the main rail part 41. The sub rail part 15 is constructed of a part of the base 10.
