Zusammenfassung:	PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To manufacture a heat pipe having a wick made of a copper powder sintered material in a heat pipe body made of an aluminum - copper-clad material. SOLUTION: The heat pipe comprises the wick made of a sintered copper powder. The wick is provided on the inner wall of the heat pipe body 10 to become a passage of the sealed working liquid. The body 10 is formed of the aluminum - copper-clad material in which an aluminum material 16 is connected to a copper material 17. A method for manufacturing the heat pipe comprises the steps of manufacturing a wick unit 20 in which a copper powder 22 is sintered on a copper plate 21 and a copper powder sintered material 23 is fusion bonded integrally on the plate 21, soldering the unit 20 at its plate 21 side to the required positions of the aluminum - copper-clad materials 11, 15 at the material 17 side by a solder having a lower melting point than that of the material 16; and thereafter working the materials 11, 15 so as to position the connected unit 20 at the inner surface side, thereby forming the heat pipe body 10.
