METHOD FOR PRODUCING HIGH PURITY MANGANESE

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a technology for producing manganese, by which high purity manganese can be easily and surely produced at a reasonable cost. SOLUTION: This method for producing high purity manganese comprises applying an ion-exchange purification method using a chelate resin to a manganese chloride aqueous solution and then purifying the purified manganese chloride aqueous solution by an electrowinning method. In a dry method, high purity manganese is obtained from the solid phase manganese by a vacuum sublimation purification method (Vaporized manganese obtained by sublimating the solid phase manganese is selectively condensed and vapor deposited at a cooling section by the difference between vapor pressures).
