SOLUTION: This method for producing the lithium borate fluorescent substance is characterized by carrying out the following processes in a process for synthesizing the lithium borate fluorescent substance, thereby improving the fading characteristics of the lithium borate fluorescent substance. A seed crystal material is excessively added just before the production of crystals. A preliminary calcination process is carried out prior to a main calcination process.
