Zusammenfassung:	PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a paper folding device capable of simplifying a folding mechanism in Z-folding after image formation in an image forming device such as a copying machine, achieving correctness in folding, eliminating trouble such as a paper jam, and easily and securely recovering from the trouble, if any. SOLUTION: This paper folding device comprises a paper carrying means to carry paper after image formation, a position-adjustable and movable stop member provided in a carrying passage to stop a tip of the paper carried by the carrying means, and a pair of rollers to hold flexure in the paper formed by the stop member to form a folded line. The paper carrying passage at a part where a paper tip part for final folding is formed is set to be the same as a paper delivery passage for the finally folded paper.
