Zusammenfassung: | PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To obtain an imaging apparatus arranged to form an image with a developer being flown from a print head to adhere to an intermediate medium by a back face voltage and to transfer the image from the intermediate medium to a recording medium by a transfer voltage in which unevenness of image density due to variation in the back face voltage incident to application of the transfer voltage is eliminated and a high quality image is formed. SOLUTION: A transfer voltage is applied in advance and then a back face voltage is applied. Surface resistance of an intermediate belt is increased such that the surface resistance between a back face electrode and a transfer member becomes not lower than ten times of the contact resistance between an intermediate medium and the back face electrode. Alternatively, the contact resistance between the intermediate medium and the back face electrode may be decreased such that the surface resistance between the back face electrode and the transfer member becomes not lower than ten times of the contact resistance between the intermediate medium and the back face electrode. Imaging may be started with a time lag behind application of the transfer voltage. |
