MATRIX SWITCH

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To solve the problem of a conventional matrix switch becoming disabled of optional switching connection between input and output when a fault takes place in an RF switch resulting in disabling the control and fixing of a connection state. SOLUTION: The matrix switch is a 4-terminal coaxial type switch controllable in tristates, includes m×n RF pieces of switches S1-S24, consisting of input m-columns and output n-rows and redundant RF switches A1-A4, whose number is equal to number m of inputs and connected to RF switches at the input of the m×n RF switches S1-S24, consisting of the input m-columns and output n-rows. Thus, loss of a switching function caused by a fault can be avoided.
