PROTECTOR

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a protector with stable reliability preventing loose contact of a mobile electrode and a bimetal. SOLUTION: The protector is provided with a fixed electrode plate 12 having a fixed contact point 12b that is an electrode plate connectable to a part of a given current path, a mobile electrode plate 14 which is an electrode plate connectable to another part of the current path at the same side of the fixed electrode 12 with a mobile contact point 14b capable of contacting with the fixed contact point 12b structured in free movement, a bimetal 15 structured so as to reverse by temperature change, and a rivet 17 which is a metal member for fixing both the mobile electrode plate 14 and the bimetal 15 in a state penetrated at a part of an insulator 13 insulating the fixed electrode plate 12, and fixing both the mobile electrode plate 14 and the bimetal 15 on the insulator 13 by plastic deformation of that part.
