FIXING DEVICE AND IMAGE FORMING APPARATUS USING THE SAME

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an economical fixing device capable of sufficiently preventing offset toner from passing through and reducing the consumption of cleaning webs and an image forming apparatus using the fixing device. SOLUTION: The fixing device consisting of a heat roller and a pressurizing roller allowed to be press-contacted with the heating roller and capable of fixing a toner image to a transfer material holding unfixed toner image on a nip part of the roller is provided with a cleaning means consisting of a cleaning web supplying roller allowed to come into contact with the surface of the heating roller to clean attached substances and apply offset preventing oil, a winding roller and a depression means for depressing the web to the heat roller and a control device for controlling the cleaning means so as to supply a new face of the web at a set interval (a) determined from the integration value of respective job operations.
