Zusammenfassung:PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a cam following mechanism which prevents noise between fork members and a cam portion member while keeping a function of the cam following mechanism high, enables the adjustment of a gap between a following portion and a cam porting while maintaining a parallel position of a following surface of a following portion of one pair of cams, and has a high maintenability. SOLUTION: This cam following mechanism 5 is provided with the fork member 12 having first and second cam following portions 14, 15 arranged on a body portion 13 and engaging with a cam portion from both sides to freely slide. This cam following mechanism 5 comprises a guide mechanism for guiding a first cam following portion 14 so that a following surface 14a of the cam following portion 14 approaches to or separate from a following surface 15a of a second cam following portion 15 a in parallel, and a fixing mechanism for fixing the body portion 13 to the first cam following portion 14, whereby the gap between cam following portions 14, 15 and the cam portion can be easily regulated so that noise caused by too large gap is prevented.
