Zusammenfassung:PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method for producing a 6-substituted-2-naphthol compound in high selectivity and in a high yield. SOLUTION: This method for producing the 6-substituted-2-naphthol compound, comprising a 2-naphthol compound with an alcohol or olefin compound, is characterized in that the reaction is carried out in the presence of a solid acid, water and, if necessary, a protonic acid. Thereby, the 6-substituted-2- naphthol compound can be obtained in high selectivity and in a high yield.
