Zusammenfassung:PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a multi-color image forming method, which is an image forming method using abrasion, and wherein the carrying property and the accumulating property of image receiving sheets are improved, and an image of a high precision such as a color-proof or highly precise mask can be easily obtained based on the high processing stability. SOLUTION: For this multi-color image forming method, an image receiving sheet having an image receiving layer, and a heat-transfer sheet having a light-heat converting layer and an image forming layer on a supporting body are used. Then, the image forming layers of respective heat-transfer sheets and the image receiving layer of the image receiving sheet are confronted to each other and superposed, and a laser beam is cast. Then, the laser beam cast region of the image forming layer is transferred onto the image-receiving layer of the image-receiving sheet, and the image is recorded. The multi-color image forming method has such a process. In this case, the existing ratio of a nitrogen atom on the surface of the image receiving layer of the image receiving sheet is 0.5 mol% or higher. Also, for this heat-transfer image-receiving sheet, an image-receiving layer is provided on a supporting body. In this case, the existing ratio of a nitrogen atom on the surface of the image receiving layer is 0.5 mol% or higher.
