PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an information recording and reproducing device capable of preventing mis-operation in an information recording and reproducing device permitting a plurality of recording and reproducing operations at the same time, and also instantaneously performing operation to input information. SOLUTION: An output of an output interface 108 can be made either from recording information directly inputted from an input interface 104 or reproducing information from an optical disk recording and reproducing device 101 and a magnetic hard disk device 102 by a specified operation. Then, the mis- operation is prevented by inhibiting the operation related to unselected information. Moreover, as state display during recording, the recording information directly inputted to the output interface 108 from the input interface 104 is used, therefore, a user can confirm the recording information in real time, and can instantaneously perform operation concerning the recording information.
